Below is a brief outline of the research showing how cancer can not survive in an body environment that is alkaline based and oxygen rich.
Dr. Otto Warburg received the Nobel prize in 1931 for the discovery that unlike all other cells in the human body, cancer cells do not breathe oxygen. He firmly believed that there was a direct relationship between pH and oxygen. Higher pH, which is Alkaline, means higher concentration of oxygen molecules, while lower pH, which is acidic, means lower concentrations of oxygen. The root cause of cancer is oxygen deficiency, which creates an acidic state in the human body. Dr. Warburg also discovered that cancer cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and cannot survive in the presence of high levels of oxygen, as found in an alkaline state. Since the 1930’s many successful natural treatments for cancer and other serious illnesses have been studied and recorded but they were viewed as too alternative and experimental by most in the medical, scientific and pharmaceutical industry and were pushed aside for the next 70 years. Along with the industrial development of Western society, so too our food was industrialised, processed and refined. Given the surge in the number of cancer cases in the past half a century, we are now seeing a return to these nutrition based studies.
Cancer Curing Diets
There are a wide variety of natural therapies ranging from the Gerson’s Therapy, Alkaline diet, Hoxsey’s herbs, Dr Kelley’s dietary program, Rene Caisse Teas, Breuss Therapy, Budwig Diet to mention just a few and many with documented, positive results (see Books section for details).
These diets will differ using their own supplements ranging from specific oils, herbal teas, enemas, etc. However a common factor is that these diets are based on easily digested plant foods (alkaline/oxygen rich). They also prohibit “feeding” the cancer with proteins, sugars or fats (acid/oxygen poor). These two basic principles combined lead to the cancer no longer being able to survive.
Why does cancer of the heart not exist? This is because, blood flowing from the lungs into the heart, are at the highest pH and oxygen levels within the entire body. As the blood travels through the lungs, acidic toxins are expelled from the system leaving it rich with oxygen and a high blood pH.
Another vital aspect of these cures, not to be underestimated, is the importance of keeping a positive mindset together with some form of excercise.
The WHO (World Health Organisation) also printed in 2003 it’s findings that they estimate a 50% increase in cancer by 2020 and “given the multi-faceted impact of diet on cancer, many countries should encourage consumption of locally produced vegetables, fruit and agricultural products, and avoid the adoption of Western style dietary habits. IARC(*) says that such actions would have health benefits beyond cancer, since other common non-communicable diseases, notably cardiovascular disease and diabetes, share the same lifestyle-related risk factors.” (WHO Releases)
